Formerly a dairy, this small townhouse started life as two buildings then formed into three houses. After consulting with D&K, the owners saw the challenges, but also the huge potential in creating a beautiful and truly original home. To expose and feature the natural stonewall was the obvious starting point. To keep an authentic aesthetic; lime finished coatings were applied to the walls which helped unite the new walls with the old. Materials of deep red stone and natural brushed oak were used to compliment the original ceiling beams. Set beside this, a softly curved stone staircase leads to the bedrooms. The graphic lines of the windows add a modern contrast and the Tuscan inspired balcony brings tranquillity to this centrally located family home.
