The owners consulted with D&K for this project as this was too large an undertaking without a fully experienced design firm on board. Built on a slope with terraces, the original home was split over two floors but with no access to the lower floor from the top floor that served as the main part of the house. Opening up spaces and creating areas, rather than rooms, makes this home a sociable environment.

Using local materials and local craftsmen keeps this house feeling genuine in it’s setting whilst still having modern touches such as the large glass windows overlooking majestic scenery. Closely working with the owners, an eclectic choice of furniture and materials have combined to make this feel like a truly warm and welcoming home.
